Some pics for now! All are well and happy, covered in mud and paint. Can’t wait for a warm shower! 😉😂
Hi family n friends from the DR
Our second full day started with a hearty breakfast followed by loading the bus and driving to the "village": yard clean up, sweeping the basketball court and washing walls. Teamwork was evident with each other and inclusion of the children. Rain came so back to Time (our home) where we worked on posters and flash cards. Everyone chipped in with smiling faces and great conversations. God knew we needed to deepen our relationships within our team providing us with quality time together. We enjoy reading the blog and receiving your prayers. We all feel blessed for this opportunity and look forward to what each day holds. With His Blessings Our team arrived in the early morning hours just before sunrise. We made our way to the TIME Center, just a few miles north of the Capital. We were greeted by our hosts, Chris and Cindy and part of their team here. They treated us to a simple breakfast of fresh fruit, warm muffins and cereal. We are so greatful for a few hours of sleep as Santo Domingo was waking up! Gearing up for “un almuerzo (lunch) dominicano delicioso” and orientation with our friend, Ina! All are well, happy and rested! Thanks for your prayers during the night hours!
