This afternoon helped build an Imu pit that will be used tomorrow to cook two pigs and other meats that will be sold for a fundraiser. This involved chopping wood for sustain the four-hour bonfire, preparing banana leaves and building the fire itself. The fire will be lit tomorrow at lunch, and the pigs will cook through the evening.
Some in the group baked cookies for youth group and we watch the pastor's son who is two. It was a tough day with a lot of manual labor, but the team worked hard and enjoyed working alongside each other and the locals.
This evening we hosted the youth group for dinner and a time of worship and teaching. Being Valentines day, we also handed out special goody bags with candies and treat.
The team is tired but we are off to a great start! Pray for clear weather for the Imu. Pray that we continue to adjust to the time difference. Pray for opportunities to share our testimonies.
