This week was "youth take over Sunday" where the teenagers led worship in song, interpretive movement and testimonies. This was a first for this young church. Our team also led the group in two worship songs. Most of these teens are in grades 7-9. They did a great job leading and sharing.
After worship everyone had lunch together where pork from the Imu was served. The afternoon was very chill just hanging out with some of the teens playing games, singing together and sharing our stories.
Late in the afternoon we traveled to the University of Hawaii men's volleyball game. (we will explain later how this came about.) And then ended the evening having dinner with the youth minister Ka'i'ini and his girlfriend, talking story and ministry.
We haven't mentioned until now that it rains everyday. We are on the Windward side of the island which is has a lot of rain. A couple of nights the leader's phone alarms sounded letting us know to watch of flash flooding. Nice wake up call! But we have been blessed to work around the rain or dry out after a shower.
Thankful for your comments and prayers as we continue our Quest experience.
