After breakfast we headed over to Hamama and helped with the preparation of three pigs. They are now being cooked in a traditional Hawaiian “Imu” (an underground oven) and will be sold as a fundraiser. It was a great way to learn about Hawaiian culture and socialize with some of the youth who came by after school.
The day ended with a cookout dinner and lots of fellowship with several local families.
A highlight of today was tenderizing and salting 150 pounds of pig butts while singing Disney songs.
