Yesterday, after resting in the morning, we had a brief orientation with missionary Rodney and headed over to work with a new church plant here in northern Santo Domingo. We met Pastor Narciso and 2 other church planters, Ismael and Daniel.
We prayerwalked the neighborhood, visited local families and met a bunch of other teens playing basketball and hanging around school (school here is in 4-hour shifts: students can either go to in the am or pm). Questies jumped in, played basketball, and shared their testimonies in conversation with others.
We finished prayerwalking, had dinner, helped out at an English club all in less than 24 hours of being in country! We are tired and still adjusting to the sun and mosquitos. Our motto has become: pray and spray (bug repellant).
The local school has opened their doors to us to make a presentation, sing songs, share stories and even invite students to the church's Valentine's Day party!
The day was filled with Endless Praise- both literally and with the Spanish version of a new YEC song!
Praying we would continue to have the eyes of our hearts enlightened with Truth and fellowship. THANK YOU for all of your prayers! We are thinking and praying for all of you!
